Bazzoo Web Developer Awarded Apprentice of The Year Award

Bazzoo are delighted to announce that their apprentice Billy Burrows has been awarded the Apprentice of The Year Award by Newark Rotary Club.

The award acknowledges the hard work and commitment that Billy has applied since joining Bazzoo straight from School aged 17 on a ‘web development and social media’ apprenticeship which will lead to a NVQ Level 3 qualification.

Billy is independently assessed by 3aaa in Nottingham and completes regular oral and written assignments in addition to attending a specialist academy where he completes social media and web development modules.

James Fountain, managing director of Bazzoo, said “Billy has adapted very well to the work environment and has made a significant contribution to the work of our team. He is very diligent and shows initiative. He is very popular with his work colleagues and is happy to contribute to team discussions”.

Billy is currently working on a mobile app and is developing a database as part of a membership website being built for Newark Business Club.

Billy said that “he really enjoys working on real life projects and seeing the results and getting feedback from clients. He is also very interested in working with PHP and developing solutions”.

He is keen to learn and build on his skillset, reading around the subject and conducting research as required.
