Another exciting Bazzoo project, the launch of Silicon Forest. The three month project included, brand development, marketing strategy, PR, website design & build, display, digital & print promotion, together with the organisation and management of the launch event with Jason Bradbury, technology guru, TV personality and presenter of the Gadget Show.IMG_2050

The conference was promoted through social media and attracted delegates from 120 leading organisations.  In addition to the keynote presentation by Jason on ‘the future of technology’, the day included dynamic workshops which delegates could participate in including: Frunbu – from Idea to App, Barcode WarehouseLabels, Laptops & Evolution, Lincoln UTC – Astro Pi: Code in Space, Steve Beeching – Hydrogen-on- demand Technology, Gusto Construction – Smart Homes and the IOT, Oakley Mobile – Augmented History, Pera Consulting – De Bono’s Concept Extraction.

Exhibitors included:  Loop Wheels, Timico, Newark Business Club, Invest Newark & Sherwood and the Big Fund.

The objective of the day was to establish  Silicon Forest as the platform for promoting the district of Newark & Sherwood, a national centre of excellence for innovation and technology.

Mobile-Friendly Website For Homeopathy Action Trust

Having worked with the Homeopathy Action Trust on their digital branding and web presence, the next step was to develop a mobile- friendly responsive website incorporating a new on-line shop, membership sign-up facility, on-line subscriptions and  forum. The transition has been seamless and well received by HAT members.

Simon Wilkinson-Blake, Executive Director  of Homeopathy Trust said “Bazzoo built one of our early websites and we have continued to work with them over the last 5 years, adding new functionality like responsive design, e-commerce, and membership subscriptions. Our latest version is excellent on phone or tablet.  Bazzoo’s team are professional, responsive and we highly recommend them”.

Responsive website design is now essential given that over 50% of people use mobile devises to browse and purchase from websites.

Our mobile-friendly websites use a ‘liquid layout’  that adapts and re-flows to suit any device and their efficacy is well proven. London Eye Bespoke Eyewear and Iniziohair are two other examples of where this programming architecture has been used to good effect.

“It’s been great working with the Invest Newark & Sherwood team at a seminar in Ollerton, North Nottingham to support local business. I was invited to join  John Hess, Professor of Politics, University of Nottingham and former BBC Political Editor for the East Midlands to promote the launch of Silicon Forest.” said James Fountain of brand and interactive agency, Bazzoo.

“John gave us an insight into what might happen in the 2020 General Election whilst John Egley from the e-business club took us through the top 10 business apps including Push Bullet, which was amazing.”

The audience including the Advertiser Media Group, Radio Newark, Centre Parcs and Handelbanken were very enthusiastic about the launch of Silicon Forest with keynote speaker Jason Bradbury (of Gadget Show fame) on October 13th at the Everyday Champions Centre, Newark.

Fiver Fest Boosts Sales For Independent Retailers

We were delighted to have worked with Totally-Locally Newark on the promotion of the first Fiver Fest which included £5 offers from over seventy retailers across Newark-on-Trent. The weekend extravaganza also included a buskers competition and coincided with the Blues Festival.

Newark was very busy with shops reporting increased footfall and sales. The Totally-Locally team used their posh pop-up stall to good effect handing out Fiver Fest leaflets highlighting where to find the bargains and buskers! It was also the contact point for shoppers and visitors to the town to vote for their favourite busker(s). Buskers are pictured below in the market place. Well done Guys!IMG_1490_edit2

Brand Refresh For GH Porter Provisions

Bazzoo have been working with Tom of GH Porters for last year, developing his brand and communications strategy for his landmark Smokery & Deli in Newark.

As part of the rebrand we have replaced signage on the front of the shop one of the most iconic buildings in Newark market place.  Restoring the  historic façade is part of a major refurbishment to mark the 125th anniversary of the famous delicatessen and smokehouse.
